Jun Lopez - trombone.
Jun played trombone on Real Revolution. He has also played with Cosmo, Carl McDonald, Raza Blade and others. Jun is known for his pocket playing and fat sounding horn.
Steve Krchniak - trumpet.
Steve played trumpet on Real Revolution. He has also played with Cosmo, Rankin Scroo, Raza Blade, Native Elements, and Humble Soul, among others.
Tony Moses - MC/DJ.
Tony's connection with Whispering Lion goes back 20 years when they first hooked up in JA. On "Real Revolution", Tony adds his warm vocal vibe to "Bob, Peter, and Bunny on da Boombox." Tony is a versatile mc working with all top bands and artists. He was chanting master for Spearhead. As a Reggae dj (KPOO, KPFA) Tony blends poetry, politics, and music. Tony is also a recording artist and is currently working on a new CD.
Ben Krames - drummer-percussionist.
Ben played drums on every track of "Real Revolution". He also played percussion. Ben has also performed with Wadi Gad, Luna Angel, Sistah Carol, Yellow Wall Dub Squad, Global Echo, Rankin Scroo, and many others.
Waddell Bell (Wadi B) - bass.
Wadi B played bass guitar on every track on "Real Revolution". He is one of the very best and most requested bass players in the SF Bay Area. He performs with many of the reggae bands that come through the SF Bay Area, including Rankin Scroo, Wadi Gad, and many others.
Hux Brown - picking guitar.
Linsford "Hux" Brown is "the" master guitarist from Jamaica. This is the second Whispering Lion CD to feature Hux, who played on every track of "Real Revolution", as well as on Whispering Lion's hit single: "Up 2 Us". He also performed live with Whispering Lion band. Hux's muted-string style of guitar playing makes it seem as if his strings were made of rubber, a style which continues to be imitated by virtually every Jamaican guitarist to follow him. Hux has played with Paul Simon ("Mother and Child Reunion"), Jimmy Cliff ("The Harder they Come"), Toots and the Maytals, Bob Marley, Delroy Wilson, Johnny Nash, and many others.
Patrick Owens - lead guitar.
Patrick played lead guitar on "Real Revolution". You can hear his great playing especially on "Find A Way", "In this House, "Sweet Salvation", and Better Days". Patrick also has performed with all of the top Reggae bands that come through the SF Bay Area including Rankin Scroo, Wadi Gad, and many others.
Wadi Gad - percussion.
Wadi Gad played percussion on "Real Revolution". He is a veteran drummer and recording artist who has played drums for artists like Horace Andy, Abyssinians, Big Youth, U Roy, Mikey Dread, John Holt and Jimmy Riley, to name a few
Jon Bendich - percussion/production.
Jon is a well-known SF Bay Area songwriter, producer and percussionist. On "Real Revolution" Jon played percussion and also handled some production, especially helping to arrange backing vocals. Jon also worked as a programmer and producer for the Whispering hit single, "Up 2 Us" from the "Tribute to the Spirit" CD. Jon has also worked with Pete Escovedo, Ray Obiedo, En Vogue and Peabo Bryson among others.
Ralston Grant - keyboards/backing vocals/production.
Ralston is a multi-talented musician and producer who has worked with many SF Bay Area musicians including Native Elements and Whispering Lion. On "Real Revolution", Ralston contributed keyboards, backing vocals, and production. Ralston and his brother Norman form the Twinkle brothers, one of reggae's most beloved musical groups with over 60 albums to their credit. The Twinkles have toured the United States, Europe, Africa and Scandinavia.
Della Grant - backing vocals.
Della joins her husband Ralston to provide soulful backing vocals on Whispering Lion's beautiful ballad, "Thank You" from "Real Revolution". Della is a gifted singer and artist with 8 albums released. She has received national and international acclaim for her music while touring with the famed Twinkle Brothers.
Jah Z - backing vocals.
Jah Z makes his debut appearance on "Real Revolution". He is the son of Whispering Lion and is working on his own CD. He is currently doing his homework for the third grade at Dayton elementary school.
Demondo Derek Fevrier - mixing engineer/dub engineer.
Derek was one of the mixing engineers on "Real Revolution". He also did the deliciously deep dub tracks on the CD. Derek is an international concert engineer who has worked with the Twinkle Brothers and Della Grant as a live engineer for shows as well as a studio engineer for Twinkle Brothers records.
Andrew Seidel - mixing engineer.
Andrew was one of the mixing engineers on "Real Revolution". Andrew is also a talented drummer having worked with the Itals, Everton lender, Cardiff Reefers, and currently, Prezident Brown.
Sebastien Richard - Digital editing.
Sebastien, a native of France, worked on "Real Revolution" as digital editor. He also did additional vocal tracking. Sebastien has worked with Groundation, Shock G of Digital Underground, and Tori Amos. Sebastien just finished an international production for a Czech band, Jarret.
Frank Funchess - Music guru and comedian.
Frank played on Whispering Lion's dance hit, "Love Posse". He was Keyboardist for QUEST / Warner Brothers recording group RADIANCE. Frank has just completed his recording studio and is currently working with the legendary keyboardist Larry Dunn from Earth, Wind & Fire. He also recently made his debut as a film maker with his documentary "Radiance: Are You Ready For Showtime?"
Sakai - backing vocals.
Sakai joined Lissa (below) to continue the Whispering Lion traditional of sweet yet powerful backing vocals. Sakai contributed backing vocals for 9 of the tunes from "Real Revolution". Sakai has had extensive recording experience, having appeared on recordings with Celion Dion, Steve Winwood, and Aretha Franklin, and many others.
Lissa Patterson - backing vocals.(Text and photo will follow as soon as possible).
Salafi Osimolo - backing vocals.
Salafi ("Hi Fi") makes his singing debut on "Real Revolution". Fi is in the fourth grade.
Kevin Hartnett "Rasta Hart" - "Good Vibes".
Kevin worked with Whispering Lion at the San Leandro World of Rhythm recording studio. He is a guitar player and collector. Kevin recently had his club debut at the legendary Ashkenaz Club in Berkeley, CA. Kevin is currently in the process of launching his new website.
Eddie M - saxophone, solo on "Sweet Salvation".(Text and photo will follow as soon as possible).
